Peter has written a nice overview for everything happening in Berlin in October. Look out for the little hint at the end about an upcoming project we are currently planing.

We're back!
Summer is gone (it actually never showed up for real) and a great autumn season with tons of conferences is coming up. Anticipation is rising so it’s definitely time to send you a life sign that your favorite source for facts, opinions and gossip about the get-togethers of the European Web 2.0 scene is alive and well. Once again we will try to bring you a great mashup of live coverage of...

You always safe the best for last, right?! Well, full ack to this and good choice, O’Reilly/CMP. The “perfect storm” is on … and coming to your town, too. Better wake up. Don Tapscott’s closing Web 2.0 Expo keynote about Wikinomics, worth a look or 2.0. Thank you for sharing, Ulrike! Slides and transcript from an older presentation on same topic on slideshare.net....

there is this chance you have to take when it’s handed to you on a silver plate and the interview with tarik from netvibes was this kind of a chance. we just arrived at st. oberholz (rosenthaler platz, berlin) when he came in. we didn’t hesitate long, asked he said ok and thats what we got out of that. cbgreenwood and dotdean were asking questions. - igor

So, this is the first impression from the 1. Girl Geek Dinner in Germany. Nicole Simon was kind enough to organize this event and the newthinking communication did land us the location to party by the rules of women. This is probably more to come, but I’m not sure when or if, so just stay tuned. - igor

– We’d like to emphasize that the cool part about Germany is that we don’t have local, separated web-communities in cities. Instead with the help of Twitter, Barcamps and pl0gbars we have a passionate, decentralized web-community of real-life friends throughout Germany which is highly...
Web 2.0 Expo gaining momentum?
Is it just me or has this day at the Web 2.0 Expo in Berlin been so much better then the last one? The keynote track was really good and interesting. Instead of feeling like a sales-pitch the Microsoft-presentation left us breathless, Jesse James Garrett was very inspiring and so on. Even most of the conference session felt a lot more in-depth. Maybe it’s just that we got used to the...

People all of a sudden stopped playing Buzzword Bingo, surfing the web or napping away when Blaise Aguera y Arcas of Microsoft Live Labs took the stage and presented the brilliant photo application Photosynth. Most of the audience may haver never seen something that beautiful from Microsoft. One question remains: What could this technology bring to porn?

Just a quick note from the BerlinBase-crew: We love the web, we are web-2.0-enthusiasts and we feel strongly about the web-2.0-community! So we feel very passionate about this and this is why we also talk about things going wrong. On the other hand we are not afraid to hype the stuff we love like crazy. Please, don’t take us to seriously and remember there is nothing out there that...

Web2Open: Patrick Chanezon talking about Open...
Yes, this is the session everyone was waiting for, at least after the official Open Social session in the conference program. Patrick Chanezon will do a Open Social DEV session for the Web2Open at 3:30pm. There are plans to organise a big session room for his session, but nothing’s fixed yet. In case you’re interested make sure you check the Web2Open Twitter account and/or contact the...

It seems that there are really no VIPs in Web 2.0. Not only does Tim O’Reilly have to stand in line to get into the Web 2.0 Expo party. As he approached the desk at the entrance the girl asked him for his name, he holds up his badge and she replies “No, I want to know if you have registered for this party”… But don’t worry, Tim, we got your back! said jkleske
